Let’s say you’re banging your head against the wall, trying to figure out why your new launch isn’t converting.
I’ll give you three ideas today.
1. Your opening, your grabber as I call it, lands flat.
Remember, the grabber must pack an emotional wallop. It has to arouse their curiosity, shock them, make them look twice or resonate with them so deeply… they’re in a trance.
The key is to test out some fresh ideas and see what happens.
(Btw, rarely is just a benefit-based grabber good enough anymore. It comes off as a direct pitch.)
2. You’ve tried to copy the grabber of your favorite competitor.
Head to head, this rarely works. They have so much more momentum than you.
When it DOES work, it works on traffic channels your competitor isn’t on.
So the answer here is simple:
Find a traffic channel your competitor hasn’t.
3. The traffic isn’t relevant to the frontend.
Ok, this requires a little explaining.
To have a high converting frontend product, all the traffic dominoes have to line up. Everything has to be ultra-relevant.
The banner ad must be relevant to the article lander. The article lander must be relevant to the frontend. Etc.
So go back and make sure everything lines up.
